We collect the following types of information: Account Information: When you sign up via Google (powered by Clerk), we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google OAuth. Resume Content: When you use Resume Builder, Improve, Scorecard, Cover Letter, or Skill Gap features, you may paste or upload resume text and job descriptions. This content is processed temporarily by our AI (Google Gemini API) and is not permanently stored on our servers beyond what is necessary to deliver your results. Usage Data: We collect data about how you interact with HirePrep, including which features you use, how many credits you have used, and session timestamps. This is stored in our database (Supabase) tied to your user ID. History Data: With your use of each feature, we store your last session's input and output data in our database to allow you to restore your previous work. This can be deleted by you at any time via the "Clear History" button in each feature. Payment Information: If you upgrade to Pro, your payment is processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card details. Razorpay's privacy policy governs payment data. Analytics Data: We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with our site. This includes pages visited, time on site, and general location (country/city level). No personally identifiable information is shared with Google Analytics.

We use the information we collect to: - Provide, operate, and improve the HirePrep platform - Generate AI-powered resume and interview content based on your inputs - Track your credit usage and manage your subscription - Send transactional emails (e.g., payment confirmations) via support@hireprep.me - Analyse usage patterns to improve features and user experience - Respond to your support requests and enquiries - Comply with legal obligations We do not use your resume content to train AI models. Your resume data is passed to Google Gemini API solely to generate your requested output and is not retained by us for any other purpose.

We use the following types of cookies and tracking technologies: Essential Cookies: Required for authentication (managed by Clerk) and session management. These cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality. Analytics Cookies: Google Analytics uses cookies to track page views and usage patterns. These are non-essential and can be blocked via your browser settings or a cookie opt-out extension. Preference Cookies: We use localStorage (browser storage) to remember your selected resume template and plan preference. This data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data to advertisers. HirePrep products are ad-free.

We share your data with the following third-party services only as necessary to operate HirePrep: Clerk (clerk.com): Authentication and user management. Stores your name, email, and login history. Supabase (supabase.com): Our database. Stores your credit usage, subscription status, and feature history. Google Gemini API: Processes your resume text and job descriptions to generate AI outputs. Data is transmitted securely and not stored by Google for model training under our API agreement. Razorpay: Payment processing for Pro subscriptions. Governed by Razorpay's Privacy Policy. Google Analytics: Anonymised usage analytics. No personally identifiable information is shared. Vercel (vercel.com): Website hosting and deployment. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties for marketing purposes.

We retain your data as follows: Account data (name, email): Retained as long as your account is active. Deleted upon account deletion. Feature history: Stored until you clear it manually or delete your account. Credit usage data: Retained for subscription management and deleted upon account deletion. Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by Indian financial regulations. Analytics data: Retained by Google Analytics per their standard retention policy (26 months). Depending on your location, you may have the following rights: Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data. Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten"). Right to Data Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format. Right to Object: Object to processing of your personal data for certain purposes. Right to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. For users in the European Union, these rights are provided under GDPR. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data: - All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS - Database access is restricted via Row Level Security (Supabase RLS) - Authentication is managed by Clerk, which is SOC 2 Type II certified - API keys and secrets are stored as encrypted environment variables - We do not store payment card information While we take reasonable precautions, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

HirePrep is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of HirePrep after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
